What are the best things to do in London?
For free attraction there is British Museum, Natural History Museum and Science Museum as well as Tate Modern and Tate Britain. There are some lovely parks to have a walk round – Regent’s park, St James’ park, Hyde Park. Hyde park has deck chairs out for use in the summer and there’s a lovely bar called the Serpentine on the river. If you walk around Regent’s Park there’s a waterfowl park and you can see into certain areas of London Zoo (you can get a really good view of the warthogs!). I would suggest going for a walk round Covent Garden – loads of cute boutique shops and lovely cake restaurants and sandwich places -it has a lovely London feel to it. Oxford Street is good if you want to look in the high street shops, but personally I try to avoid it as I feel it’s over-rated. New Bond Street is fun to window shop and to get a feel of the more up-market london. Harrods is overrated but the food hall is excellent – sweets and Krispy Kreme. For restaurants Charlotte Street is excellent (
