What are the best swim goggles for a 3 year old?
I would recommend against getting goggles for a 3 year old. I’ve taught a lot of swim lessons, and one thing I can tell you is that goggles only lead to learning barriers later. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a kid who can swim great start to struggle because their goggles got full of water or fell down. Many times it would slow the lessons down so much because they’d be so focused on keeping their eyes dry instead of completing the challenges I’d have them do. A lot of children think they NEED goggles so their eyes don’t hurt or so they can see underwater, but it just isn’t the case. A good instructor will be able to entice the kids to swim very well without them and they’ll learn quicker because of it.
