What are the best rollerblades / inline skates for beginners?
Whomever said Salomon is really uninformed. They got out of the business several years ago but I have heard that they are considering getting back into it. Salomons fit my feet better than the other brands and I bought a last pair when they were closing them out. Any particular type of skating that you want to do? Recreational – skating to get places or touring (a few miles at a time) Fitness – same as rec but faster and longer distances Aggressive – jumping, ramps, grinding Hockey – self explanatory Free Style – dance moves or around cones Figure – self explanatory Rec/fitness are the most common. The most common quality brands are Rollerblade and K2. There are specialty brands for the other styles. For rec/fitness, look for wheels 80mm or larger. 90mm may be difficult for some beginners. 100 and larger need much higher skills. Aluminum frames are much better than plastic. The skates should fit snugly all around your feet without pinching your toes. They need to become part of your fe
