What are the best places to visit on a mediterranean cruise?
hi wolfy, my wife and I have been on two Med cruises. The first one was to Portugal, Spain, Monaco, France and Italy. The second cruise was on Holland America’s “Rotterdam” and went to Venice then up into the Black Sea where we visited the Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. We also went back down and stopped at Corfu, Dubrovnik Croatia, Alexandria Egypt (pyramids) and Athens, Greece. The Black Sea cruises are usually limited to spring and fall due to the summer heat in Greece and Turkey. We regard the Black Sea cruise as the the better one because of the eastern countries and visiting Egypt. If you go on a trip that visits the pyramids, be very careful in dealing with the camel people as they will lure you with an offer for a photo on thier camel for $5. and when you get on, they run the camel about a half mile into the desert where they demand $45 (American) to return you or let you get down from the camel’s back. Other than that, Egypt is tourist friendly.
