What are the best places for spectators to view the race?
Swim: The best area to view the swim will be from Montelago Bridge located just above the swim start at Lake Las Vegas. From this vantage point you can catch both the swim start and finish. There are also plenty of great viewing spots along the shores located at either side of the bridge including the Montelago Village Note: strollers and wheelchairs should be able to navigate the swim area with relative ease. Bike: There are several great areas to view athletes along the bike course. The New River Mountain Loop Trail will be open to pedestrians and offers ample space to set up picnic blankets and lawn chairs. (Note: only the entrance and exit points will be accessible by vehicle so be prepared to walk). Both Discovery Park and Paseo Verde Park located along Paseo Verde Parkway cater to children by offering playgrounds and also offer great vantage points of the tail end of the bike course.
