What are the best organic shampoo/conditioner and body lotion?
Consider Tom’s of Maine natural/organic products. Use which products are “best” for you (from whatever brand). See details: Personally, I like Tom’s of Maine products. I was looking for (mouthwash & toothpaste) products without artificial additives (preservatives, sweetners, …) in local stores, and Tom’s of Maine were among the few. I like Tom’s general product philosophy of going back to natural/organic ingredients instead of modern additives. The one product that I swear by is 100% Jojoba oil. You can find it at any health food store (make sure it is 100% Jojoba and not a mix of oils), organic or not. Trader Joe’s has a good quality – though it isn’t labeled organic – for under $10.00. Jojoba oil can be used for anything from soothing chapped skin to healing dry, overstressed hair. I use it weekly for deep-conditioning my hair (naturally wavy, but straight-ironed or blown-dry on most days). I pour a bit into my palm and, using my fingertips, smooth it onto my hair, from near the roots to the very ends. Use as much as you need to coat all hair. Braid or twist your hair into a managable bundle and either cover it with plastic wrap or a plastic shower-type cap. I throw a towel in the dryer for a few minutes to warm it up and then wrap it around the plastic cap in such a fashion that I could wander around the house doing chores while my hair steeps in warm oil. Leave it on for at least 1 hour. I’ve left it on for 2 hours before
