What Are The Best Opticians In The UK?
Many years ago I heard a radio report about opticians. It said that the best were the independents. Too often the big chains were out to fleece their customers, advising unnecessary correction or treatments. I don’t know how true it is now but I’ve used independent opticians since. The one I’ve used for the past 6 years is in Bath, Brad Abrahams, is very good. He has a very attractive shop and while his glasses may be more expensive than the big names, he’s totally honest. He’s told me that my left eye is slightly longsighted and my right eye more significantly so but because of eye disorders in early childhood, I can ignore the right eye and the left eye does not need correction in its current state. I appreciate that he has done his job properly and considered what I can see and how I see it.
