Hi Kilroy! I used to work 80-100 hours a week on concrete, and my feet were always sore. I found that the style of shoe didnt seem to matter after 10 or so hours. Here are some suggestions that worked: 1) If you have to stand in one place for any length of time, stand on carpet or a padded surface; it will reduce the fatigue in your feet. 2) Purchase custom molded insoles (if you can afford them) or the best you can buy. This way, if you need to change shoes, you can take your insoles with you. 3) Spring for cushioned socks; they make a huge difference! In warm temperatures, two pairs of socks cuts down on the sweat on your feet, and avoids blistering. 4) Gold Bond foot powder; it might be a placebo effect, but it seems to k
