What are the best iPod headphones for in-ear, lots of noise around, price range of $75-$125?
I bought the Etymotic Isolator 6i in-ear headphones in 3 months ago and have used them almost every day since. If you choose the right tips (they come with a few in a little bag) they are really comfortable and block noise amazingly well. According to the website (http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er6i.aspx) they have a really nice response curve, but of course everyone says that. To my ears they are smooth and detailed (not harsh like some sony’s, not muffled like some “extended bass” ones I’ve tried). The bass isn’t super loud, but you can hear it fine and it’s so clean that you can tell the kick drum and bass apart even when they play at the same time. But what’s really incredible is how much more music you can hear when the background noise is gone. Where I work there’s an air circulation system that makes a low rumbling wooshing sound all day. It’s really quiet, but you wouldn’t believe how much better my music sounds
