What are the best golf clubs to use for an intermediate player?
I’m going to give you several answers -you figure out which apply: Intermediate? What’s THAT mean? Shoots 110+, or maybe 5 over par? What? Or, maybe just been at it for a couple of years and likes it. I’m going to ASSUME that it means this player knows the rules and courtesy of the game and can “keep up” with 3 other golfers, not holding anyone back looking for lost balls, etc. OK, the 3 main criteria a pro will use to fit someone with a set of clubs are: 1) the size of the hands on the grip; that is, can the handles of the clubs nestle comfortably in a proper grip. If the handles are too fat, find a skinnier set, if too thin, the grips may be built up by taking off the grip and wrapping tape around the shaft, then putting the grip back on. 2) length of the shaft (the clubs’, not the golfers’).
