What are the best beaches in the greater Disney World/Orlando area?

I’d recommend either cocoa beach…about 1 hr due east (Beachline east) or new smyrna beach…about an hour 1/2 northeast (I-4 east). There will be waves at both beaches, new smyrna has a very large flat beach area, coca beach’s is much smaller…little kids will like both but new smyrna is prob better for those really small kids, but either will be great. If you want no waves and really pretty beachs go west (figure 2 hrs) to st. pete beach or clearwater beach…no waves on the west coast…as an east coast boy I prefer the waves..

Orlando and Disney World are in the middle of the state. There are no nearby beaches in the middle of that state or any other. Try looking towards one of the coasts of Florida if you want to go to a beach.

Orlando is nearly the middle of the state and completely land locked. The closest beaches are on the Atlantic side of Florida. Good family beaches that are the closest drive are Cocoa Beach and Jetty Park (you’ll have to pay for parking, but it’s worth it in my opinion.
