What are the benefits to students of looping?
A. Looping is defined by teachers teaching the same cohort of students for two consecutive school years, and one of the three programmatic elements (teaming, advising and looping) of the Promise-Readiness Corps. By looping with students, Promise-Readiness Corps teachers will build stronger relationships with students and families and be better able to track their students’ academic and social development, informing more effective instruction. Promise-Readiness Corps teachers will work on teams, and loop with their same cohort of 100-120 students from 9th to 10th grade.
