What are the benefits to irrigating with reuse water?
It’s an environmentally responsible way to maintain the appeal and aesthetics of the park without placing a heavy burden on the County’s drinking water supply. Additionally, the State of Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has issued statewide voluntary water conservation measures. Under these “pre-drought” restrictions, residents are asked to limit their watering based on an odd-even system. If the state enters into a drought period, these restrictions would become mandatory. However, they do not apply to irrigation with reuse water, meaning areas where it is used will stay green and healthy.
