What are the benefits to CVEC customers as a result of the acquisition?
CVEC customers will benefit immediately from lower rates and these rates will further decrease in the future. The customers will also have access to PSNHs economic development programs and our 24-hour Customer Service Center. When the acquisition becomes effective, CVEC customers will become new PSNH customers at PSNHs then-current rates. For CVEC residential customers, this will mean a rate decrease of more than 20 percent. Commercial and industrial customers will also see their rates significantly reduced. Additionally, the sale will put an end to financial and legal uncertainty for CVEC customers. All CVEC customers will also have the right to choose to purchase energy from an independent supplier, as that market evolves.
