What are the benefits of wild salmon over farmed salmon?
The salmon in Alaska live their lives in a natural environment that is perfectly suited to yielding incredible tasting fish. Wild Alaskan salmon eat only the food that is indigenous to their ecosystem, which is the source of their natural pink color and authentically Alaskan taste. Farmed salmon are fed fishmeal pellets, a nutrient-poor conglomerate that leaves the fish looking tired and gray. Because nobody wants to eat gray salmon, farmed fish are fed a petroleum-based salmon-colored pigment to make them look healthier… and more like wild salmon.
