What are the benefits of using Stockosorb?
Stockosorb is superabsorbant cross-linked polymer used to increase water and nutrient retention. It is a potassium ammonium polyacrylate/polyacrylamide copolymer. Other cross-linked polymers may be sodium rather than potassium based. Potassium based polymers are more often recommended for agricultural use. The use of Stockosorb in agriculture will help to reduce water usage; it will increase the efficiency of fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides; it will help to increase seed germination thereby increasing yields; it reduces leaching of chemicals and it reduces compaction. The product comes in three sizes M, S, and F for the following reasons: Stockosorb M – For mixing into the growing media prior to planting or in landscaping applications.
