Without going into detail (which is your task) 3 arguments for using computers might be based on: easy access to information e.g. whole classes can access the same information at the same time, they are not all waiting to use the same book. In these days of cutbacks up to date textbooks are not always available. The internet gives access to a variety of media likely to capture the interest of the student. Etc. etc. Practicality e.g. using a computer is a more practical way of writing up notes and essays and manipulating what you have written without being surrounded by hundreds of bits of paper. Also when you make a mistake you can change it without having to write the whole page out again! For the teacher, assuming that other elements are available, such as interactive whiteboards, the computer is a useful tool for preparing high quality presentations of subject matter.
