This Alert acts like an early warning system to notify you as soon as we see a spending pattern that may indicate fraud from usage of a potentially lost or stolen Card. To determine irregular account activity, American Express looks at various factors, including past spending patterns, the location of where the purchase is being made, and the time of the purchase.
