What are the benefits of the external power supply?
With an external power supply, the transformer, capacitors and rectifiers are on a dedicated board, completely isolated from the DAC circuitry. This results in lower interferences and allows us to install a larger, more powerful transformer (ideal for option modules such as the headphone amplifier or a tube output stage). In addition, we filter supply voltages more strictly to keep analogue and digital supply lines clean.
