The new Ted Hale COMBO is a Quad Scull/Four that can be easily adapted as either a coxed boat (i.e. for a schools coxed Quad Scull) or as a coxless boat (i.e. for a Senior A club or Veterans coxless Four). The change over is so simple that it can be carried out at a regatta within twenty minutes (one person) and with minimal effort involved. The COMBO is for top level school and club racing. The Hull mould is based on Ted’s current Elite Quad Scull/Four and is made from three layers (i.e. Carbonfibre/ Honeycomb/Carbonfibre). The inner Deck mould is also made from three layers (i.e. Carbonfibre/PVC Foam/Carbonfibre). The inner Deck mould has undergone major changes in order to make the boat adaptable. Ted spent years on getting the trim exactly right , and this is a feat in itself.
