What are the benefits of the academy membership?
After completing the beginner or novice courses and you wish to continue, it is required that you pay an academy membership fee. The academy membership is $10/month for youths, teens and adults. The fees goes directly to the upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and equipment, complimentary green tea, fruits and snacks, access to club storage area for lames, uniforms, shoes, and weapons, access to fencing resource library and access to the players lounge. Most fencing clubs in Ontario operate in public facilities (i.e. community centers, schools, universities), which are subsidized by municipal and provincial taxpayers. The Dragon Fencing Academy is a private fencing and martial arts school, we are not subsidized by public money. Our fees reflect the real costs of running a fencing academy.
