Metofrim is a medication for diabetics, and it works by controlling blood sugar levels which can cause insluin problems. In women with PCOS it helps because most women with the condition do have some degree of insluin resistence. This in turn leads to over production of hormones, or homal imbalances- mainly testosterone, which inhibits ovulation and causes the PCOS symptoms of excess hair, acne and male pattern baldness. It is not a fertility medication and there is no guarantees it will help you get pregnant. But it may help cpntrol some of the PCOS symptoms that are preventsing you from conceiving.
