What are the benefits of Sun Ray labs?
Unlike PCs, the Sun Ray labs do not process any information on their own. Instead, they communicate with a server that handles all of the work. The benefits of this system include: • Cost Effectiveness – As mentioned above, Sun Ray terminals will not function without connecting to a Sun Ray server. Thus, they do not require components such as a processor or memory. This allows us to be able to provide larger number of clients with computing access for the same cost as a PC Lab. • Security – All data on the Sun Rays is erased as soon as you complete the log off process. This means that no personal information will be saved. In addition, a fresh copy of each program will be installed when you log off, preventing a number of technical issues from occurring. • Update Deployment – The software on the Sun Rays can be updated without having a technician present on-site.
