What are the benefits of purchasing a manufactured home over a conventional site-built home?
When I first got into the industry (19 years ago) I found customers purchased a manufactured home because of economics. Today I find our customers are purchasing a manufactured home because of “choice.” There are many benefits to the manufactured home over a site built home: the first, without question, is “value.” When you consider the cost per sq. ft. of a site-built home versus the manufactured home, our homes will always be the best value for the dollar. But there is much more than just value. The manufactured home is built in a controlled environment and is not subject to weather. H.U.D. requires that the exterior lumber be only dry-kilned lumber that will have longevity. Our customers tell us that one of the biggest reasons is design and openness of the floor plan that made their buying decision.
