What are the benefits of NCTDP?
NCTDP serves a unique function within NATO by connecting NATO Nations with previously unidentified and unknown industries and/or small technology firms that have something technologically relevant to offer in the area of counter-terrorism. All the benefits of NCTDP will be fully developed and explored as the process matures. The intent of this effort is to demonstrate and highlight a potentially new approach to addressing technology gaps or shortfalls. Prior to NCTDP start up, similar technology issues or capability gaps might not have been completely addressed because an activity with such a specific focus or agility simply did not exist. In addition, NCTDP activities can facilitate possible armaments cooperation among nations. This can be achieved in many ways, particularly through the holding of exhibitions or demonstrations on issues such as force protection and related issues addressed within NCTDP activities.
