What are the benefits of moving Aviza?
a. Close Proximity to Our Industry (Silicon Valley) i. We are in a very specialized industry. Moving the company to Silicon Valley gives us access to a larger recruitment pool of individuals who specialize in advanced semiconductor equipment and process technologies. ii. It also provides us with easier access to our required supplier infrastructure. iii. Additionally, it allows for close proximity to the airports to facilitate receiving our supplies, shipping our tools to customers worldwide, or flying our employees to meet with customers or visit our regional offices. b. Need of Newer Facilities i. A majority of our buildings were constructed in the late 1950s/1960s and 1970s by Stewart Engineering & Watkins Johnson. In order for Aviza to stay here, we would need to do major maintenance and renovations to our buildings to accommodate the types of systems we manufacture here.
