What are the benefits of joining Delta Sigma Theta sorority incorporated?
First off, I commend what my Soror Sophisticated Lady told you about our sorority. Next, let me ask you this: do you want to be a Delta so that people will respect you, or because you want to be part of a sisterhood and help the community? I know it sounds like a no-brainer, but honestly ask yourself that. There are many young ladies who search for the right sorority for the wrong reasons. What you said above was absolutely correct: it IS supposed to be about sisterhood and serving the community. It’s not about what you can get, but what you can give. I’m not going to sit here and sell MY sorority because, in my opinion, Delta speaks for itself; it’s your decision to figure out what’s best for you. But think about what my Soror said; check out your local undergrad and Alumnae chapters (chances are, the Deltas who are graduating from your school are going to join your local Alum chapter).
