What are the benefits of home schooling a child?
I’d say you have a very good grasp on the superiority of home schooling. Keep up the good work. Please, please ignore the answers from the knee-jerkers telling you that the only good social environment for a child is that disgusting, unnatural pressure-cooker of a system called Public School. “How do you think they will get socialized???” they howl, and I always answer, “How do you think human beings got socialized in the thirty thousand years before Public Schools were invented?” A maturing child needs people of all ages around him. The age-segregated classroom confines children’s social opportunities only to other children of almost exactly the same age. Eight year olds raising eight year olds, twelve year olds raising twelve year olds. No older person to look up to for experience and advice (you can’t seriously count the teacher), no younger person to look up to and admire you.
