What are the benefits of hiring an architect to help with a partial remodel?
Seeing that we only your project is a “partial remodel” and not whether it is residential or commercial or structural I will try to give a broad answer. One benefit is that an experienced architect has solved many design problems, even small ones, and can often quickly come up with just the right solution to a problem that may have seemed insurmountable. Another benefit is that they may also be able to arrive at several acceptable solutions so that you have a choice in the resolution. It is true that many architects don’t line “small” projects. Our firm has never turned down a project due to its small size. Those projects have their own rewards and can still be profitable. At times we have also worked long distance with clients sharing photos, sketches, drawings to collaborate on a design.
