Name Recognition! When you are going to college you want one that everybody knows across the country, whether it be through a sport or through academics or anything else. When you hand out your resume the potential employers will have a subconscious recognition of the school which will be a major plus in obtaining a job. Ivy League colleges are considered the cream-of-the-crop. They may not teach you anymore than any other school, but just to say I went to (insert school’s name here) will give you pride as well as the employer a way of setting you apart from everyone else.
