What are the benefits of extending scanning to include leases and charges?
As a result of the extension of the type of deeds being scanned, Land Registry will have a much more comprehensive archive of scanned documents. Introducing this enhanced scanning service will enable us to add approximately 10,000 documents each day to our existing database of more than 12 million. Copies of scanned documents can be viewed and downloaded on our online services at a lower fee than those obtained by post or through Telephone Services, and users of our Land Registry Direct service can also print official copies in their office.
