What are the benefits of distance education using JEDI?
Distance education allows sharing of costs and other resources among communities of interest and facilitates the offering of courses that traditionally have not been feasible for schools. It consolidates students with common interests over a larger audience base to justify the cost of providing specific learning opportunities. For example, many JEDI high school students benefit from the addition of advance placement courses. In addition, consortium activities stimulate and improve cooperation among neighboring school districts as well as between high schools and higher education.
