What Are The Benefits of an Online Teaching Degree Program?
Online learning has made tremendous progress in the past few years, to the point where it is now championed not only by a small group of private institutions (Kaplan, University of Phoenix, etc.) but also by a broad selection of prestigious traditional schools, many of whom have set up “subsidiary” schools devoted exclusively to online education (Drexel, the University of Massachusetts, etc.). Its advantages are becoming more clear, especially in the case of graduate programs being offered to working adults, who may not be able to come to campus to take their classes, even on evenings and weekends. Many of the programs, predictably, will require you to spend time in a classroom learning and practicing your new skills. In the case of the online programs, many of them will assist you in finding a classroom near where you live where you can participate in these activities, as well as a local educator to oversee your work.
