What are the benefits from salt/mineral blocks?
Salt Blocks give your horse extra minerals, nutrients, salts, and other things to keep them healthier. There are red, blue, white, brown colored salt blocks. All have different minerals in them for different reasons. Blue blocks have more cobalt in them which is ment more for cattle and horses don’t need it as much. There’s nothing wrong with a blue block though. I would recommend a red block to your horse which contain sodium, iodine, and chloride. Be sure to slowly introduce your horse to the block so they do not indulge and become sick. Their body will not be quite used to it right away.
