What are the benefits for Purple Heart recipients?
It depends. Some states give you different benefits (such as Texas gives: Free Transfer of Purple Heart Plates, Free Parking Privileges apply for vehicles with Purple Heart license plates, but only when the Purple Heart recipient is driving or is being transported in the vehicle and Texas Purple Heart License Plates for only $3 a year) and the VA and Federal offices will honor it for different things such as claims or giving you extra points for hiring at the Post Office. So far, all I have from California are my car plates, but I don’t live there and I haven’t push the issue. Here are all some VA benefits.
