What are the BASW program requirements?

To graduate from UMaine with a BASW degree most students take a minimum of 121 credits with 73 credits in their social work major. Many of the prerequisites for social work match the University’s General Education Requirements, leaving room in a student’s program to complete a minor in another area. Some students minor in psychology, women’s studies, or sociology – all disciplines with relevance for social work.
