The KU Student Records Policy is based on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (“FERPA”) and it identifies the rules for handling student information at KU. The policy provides that KU faculty and staff must not disclose “personally identifiable information” from a student’s educational records without the student’s written consent.
