What are the basic stages of bathtub production ?
Bathtub production is similar to the production of other fibreglass reinforced plastic methods ( FRP ). It can be summarized as heating, forming, reinforcement, trimming and assembly. After heated in the oven, the plates are formed in vacuum forming machines. Wooden plates ( generally chipboard ) are put on to the back face of the bathtub for making it mechanically stronger. Then the back face is covered with fibreglass – resin mixture. After dried for a while upside down, the lateral sides of the bathtubs are trimmed, and the necessary holes are drilled. The hydro massage and leg systems are assembled. Finally the bathtubs, whirlpool baths, and shower trays are packaged.
