What are the basic requirements for membership?
The first requirement is a commitment. Commitment to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to safely carry out the mission, to make yourself available when called, and to conduct yourself at all times so as to bring credit upon yourself, the organization, the sheriff’s department or other served agency, and the citizens of Bonner County. You must be 18 years of age and, it goes without saying, all applicants must be physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of carrying out the assigned mission. One of our members is a 70 years old, ex-Special Forces, prior EMT, a former county and state SAR Commander, and an amateur radio operator. His assigned mission is instructor and communications.
