What are the basic issue items for a new Army Recruit that would comprise the TA-50 clothing and equipment list?
A. The reasons for the variances are based upon not only individual requirements but also those of the MACOM and its subordinate units (i.e., 82d Airborne Division has both hot and cold weather deployments); therefore, mission stocks may be subdivided into deployment packages for type of climate, etc. The best reference for individual and organizational equipment for Soldiers is still CTA 50-901, but again individual commands may dictate changes according to requirements. AR 700-84 indicates the initial individual Soldier equipment issues…Class As, boots, etc., upon entry into or required during periods of service. Q. I am trying to get my arms room on track. I am working out of my MOS and need help squaring this away.
