What are the baggage limitations on Jetstar?
Free checked baggage allowance for economy class passengers is 20kg. StarClass passengers are allowed 30kg. No single item may exceed 32kg in weight. Customers may check-in up to an additional 20kg of luggage in excess of the free allowance for a charge. For long haul international flights the excess charge is AUD15 / kg. All bulky items are to be packed appropriately in accordance with the guidelines below, before being presented at check-in. Baggage not meeting these requirements will be carried at Jetstar’s discretion. Bulky items are included as part of the free checked baggage allowance. If the bulky item causes entire checked luggage to exceed the checked bag allowance, excess baggage charges will apply. Baby accessories such as prams and portable cots will be checked in free of charge for customers travelling with infants. Wheelchairs are also carried free of charge.
