What are the AyreLink connector specifications?

See the manual (Connections and Installation / AyreLink Ports). The connectors are the RJ-11 modular connectors used in many countries to attach a telephone to a wall outlet. It is important to use two-line cables with four gold contacts at each end (not two). If the cable is being custom fabricated, be sure to specify that it is a “crossover” cable with the order of the connections reversed at each end. (This is standard for pre-made telephone cables.) The AyreLink port can accept RS-232 commands from a system controller (eg, Crestron, AMX, et cetera) when used with an external adapter box available from Ayre.
