What are the aviation activities within the Harrods Group?
John Bool, General Manager – Maintenance & Engineering at Harrods Aviation Based at London’s Luton and Stansted airport, Harrods Aviation offers a wide-ranging maintenance and engineering capability for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. Harrods Aviation is a Sikorsky approved maintenance facility for S-76 and also holds approvals for Eurocopter and Agusta. Air Harrods, on the other hand, owns and operates VIP-configured helicopters for charter flights. We operate a S-76B, an Agusta 109 Power and, as of this August, a brand new S-76C+. On behalf of a private customer, Air Harrods has also operated, since October 2004, the first Sikorsky S-92 based in Europe. The fact that we own and maintain our own aircraft via Air Harrods and Harrods Aviation makes us very special in the commercial charter business these days.
