What are the average prices for a beer and food in Marmaris Turkey?
last year we went back to Marmaris again, and it was 2.5 lira for a bottle of Amstel(local beer)which is just over a pound(depending on the exchange rate),meals out are cheap too, with a main course averaging about a fiver(kid’s meals are cheaper than this though.I highly recommend the ‘Al Fresco’ restaurant which is situated on the main shopping street bang in the centre of the resort, the quality of the food is exceptional and it’s great value for money. If you fancy taking some trips out whilst you are there,DO NOT book through your Rep,they charge extortionate prices and will try to tell you the local run tours are not insured, this IS NOT true,go down to the Harbour area and go book with Joe Silver, they have every activity you could imagine available and all their staff are fully qualified and trained, and it will cost you a fraction of the price you will pay elsewhere, have a good holiday 🙂
