What are the average daily nutritional requirements for beef cattle?
Nutrient requirements for beef cattle are dependent on, age, weight, body condition, stage of production, projected average daily gain, and environmental conditions. Therefore, it is difficult to give average nutrient requirements. The best source for requirements for beef cattle is the 1996 National Research Council Nutrient Requirements for Beef Cattle. This can be abtained by going to the National Research Council’s website. My other suggestion, is to go to the local county extension office and request this information. Many times they would have the information in a Fact Sheet or can obtain it from the state office.
