Although venture capital is a new developing financing measure in Turkey and the legal infrastructure has not been completed yet, few banks has already started the application in a limited volume. Both venture capital and soft loans are available for small and medium sized companies. The amount of soft loans allocated from the government budget is 140.000.000.000.000-TL (approx. = 220 million $) for the year 2000.
