What are the Australian Standards?
All child restraints sold in Australia must meet the strict requirements of AS/NZS1754 which sets the minimum requirements for materials, design, construction, performance, testing and labelling of child restraint systems. Restraints bought in other countries will not meet the Australian Standard – it is illegal to use them in Australia. The symbol to the right certifies that the restraint fully meets the Australian Standard.
