A. A standards-based technology platform has been developed by LPS to deploy Mortgage Web Services. The platform uses an open, componentized architecture to facilitate delivery of Mortgage Web Services. The platform enables reuse of business objects across multiple disparate channels and applications. The platform employs 128-bit encryption and authenticates users with x.509 digital certificates as a prerequisite to launching Mortgage Web Services requests. As an additional layer of protection, MSP read and write operations (“MSP Web services”) are authorized via RACF security. The real-time, secure and dynamic flow of standardized data afforded by the Mortgage Web Services platform allows mortgage servicers to transact with every provider whose services are available as third-party Web services, and allows authorized service providers to transact with LPS’ entire network of mortgage servicers via MSP Web services.
