What are the Attorney Generals concerns about the Missouri River?

0

The flow of much of the Missouri River is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Important uses of the river in Missouri include navigation, flood control and as a supply for drinking water of half the state’s population. The most recent federal court rulings have found that the Corps is to give navigation and flood control the highest priority in managing the Missouri River. As the Corps also looks at improving habitat on the river for certain species of fish and birds, we believe that Missouri’s other important interests must be protected as well.
