What are the asterisks on each page for?

0

The asterisks hold the font characteristics chosen for the portfolio standardized layout. By typing between the astericks uniform font characteristics will be maintained throughout your portfolio. The standards fonts selected are Arial, size 3. If you should lose the asterisks, simply select the fonts characteristics as you would in a word processing software (highlight the text, etc.) The asterisks are meant to be a help to you, so that you do not have to select fonts each time you enter text. In web editing if font characteristics are not selected, then the page will display the computer’s default fonts– hence losing the uniformity of view on all computers.
